At AIShelf, we value your feedback and are committed to continuously improving our product. This Feedback Policy outlines how we collect, handle, and use feedback from our users.

How to Submit Feedback

IDE Extension

Submit feedback directly from the AIShelf IDE extension:

  1. 1.Open the AIShelf sidebar in your IDE
  2. 2.Click the feedback icon or use command: "AIShelf: Submit Feedback"
  3. 3.Fill out the feedback template
  4. 4.Click "Send Feedback" to submit

You can also send feedback via email to: support@aishelf.dev

Types of Feedback

Bug Reports

Help us identify and fix issues by reporting:

  • Clear description of the issue and expected behavior
  • Steps to reproduce the problem
  • Your environment (IDE version, OS, AIShelf version)
  • Error messages or screenshots
  • When the issue started occurring

Feature Requests

Share your ideas for new features or improvements:

  • Clear description of the feature
  • Problem it would solve or value it would add
  • Examples or mockups (if available)
  • Current workarounds (if applicable)
  • Priority level for your workflow

General Feedback

Share your thoughts about:

  • What you like about AIShelf
  • What could be improved
  • Your use case and workflow
  • Suggestions or ideas
  • User experience observations

How We Handle Your Feedback

Receipt and Review

  • All feedback is received and reviewed by our team
  • We read every piece of feedback submitted
  • Critical bugs and security issues are prioritized immediately

Response Time

We aim to:

  • Acknowledge bug reports: Within 5 business days
  • Respond to feature requests: Within 10 business days
  • Address critical security issues: Within 24 hours to 48 hours

Note: Response times are goals, not guarantees. Complex issues may take longer to investigate.

Implementation

We prioritize feedback based on:

  • Severity and impact
  • Number of users affected
  • Alignment with product roadmap
  • Technical feasibility
  • Resource availability

Not all feedback will be implemented, but all feedback is considered.

Rate Limiting

To prevent spam and abuse, we implement rate limiting on feedback submissions:

  • Limit: 1 submission per 5 minutes per user
  • Purpose: Prevent automated spam and ensure quality feedback

Contact us directly if you need to submit multiple urgent reports.

Code of Conduct

Do

  • Be respectful and constructive
  • Provide specific, actionable information
  • Include relevant context and examples
  • Search for existing issues first
  • Follow up if we request more info
  • Be patient with our small team

Don't

  • Use offensive or abusive language
  • Submit spam or irrelevant content
  • Make threats or demands
  • Share confidential information
  • Submit duplicate feedback repeatedly
  • Expect immediate responses

Security Vulnerabilities

DO NOT submit security vulnerabilities through regular feedback channels

Instead:

  1. 1.Email us directly at: support@aishelf.dev
  2. 2.Mark the email as "SECURITY VULNERABILITY"
  3. 3.Provide detailed information about the vulnerability
  4. 4.Allow us reasonable time to address before public disclosure

We take security seriously and will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours.
